USD flows: U.S. Equities and USD

FX market will be watching U.S. equities closely in the next few days.  

The USD is marginally on the defensive after yesterday selloff in U.S. equities, as opinion is mixed on what it means for FX.  Some FX traders view at as temporary given the volatility in equities, but other note that the S&P500 has failed on the upside twice and this is bad for U.S. equites and the USD.  If payrolls is in line with expectations or better then it could calm the U.S. equity market and leave the USD focused mainly on the Fed debate.  A weak payrolls number could see further U.S. equity losses and talk that the S&P500 could go back to 5200, which could increase USD weakness -- especially v JPY and  CHF.  Aside from the U.S. soft v hard landing debate, the AI story is also becoming profits soon v profits later debate and this is causing volatility in the tech sector.
