May retail sales weaker than expected and June projected weak
Somewhat weaker than expected Canadian retail sales in May, down 0.8%, with June projected to be down 0.3%. USD/CAD trading around 10 pips higher, and pressing towards the early July high of 1.3750. Yields spreads suggests this is achievable, with front end spreads pushing up to early July levels.
