USD/JPY flows: Geopolitical tension goes well into the weekend

Geopolitical headlines will likely continue throughout the weekend as we hear more than the Russia-Ukraine end. Sirens sound in Russia's Belgorod, Voronezh and Kursk provinces while Russian advances rapidly in eastern Ukraine. So far, the strategy to divert Russian attention from advancing through eastern Ukraine by marching into Russian soil has failed. We will need to wait and see whether they will be able to hold their grounds with diverted military.

USD/JPY is trading 0.09% lower at 144.85.
