Pending home sales with a 0.4% decline in July have seen a second straight drop and remain weak, if off the recent record low set in January.
The fall contrasts an increase in July existing home sales and suggests that gain may be difficult to sustain, but should the Fed start to ease in September, the currently weak housing sector is likely to receive some support.
