Figure 1 presents an overview of the top 25 countries for each of the three calculated indexes: Country Strength, Investment Attractiveness, and Sovereign Risk. Macau consistently ranks 1st in all three categories, making it a standout performer in terms of economic stability, investment potential, and low sovereign risk. Other high-ranking countries include Iceland, UAE, and Denmark in Country Strength; Jamaica, Indonesia, and South Korea in Investment Attractiveness; and Bermuda, South Korea, and Jamaica in Sovereign Risk.
Certain patterns emerge when comparing rankings across categories. For example, Australia ranks 5th in Country Strength but drops to 19th in Investment Attractiveness and 18th in Sovereign Risk. This discrepancy arises because the Country Strength Index includes the social inclusion pillar, where Australia performs particularly well. In contrast, the Investment Attractiveness Index excludes this pillar and places greater weight on medium-term growth potential, where the demography factor negatively impacts Australia's score. Conversely, Jamaica ranks highly in Investment Attractiveness despite a lower standing in Country Strength, indicating strong investment opportunities despite certain structural limitations. Specifically, Jamaica’s Country Strength Index is impacted by its below-average performance in the social inclusion pillar, where factors such as safety, material well-being, and life satisfaction weigh down its score.
