We are building and maintaining an innovative new financial markets research platform and are looking for engineers to grow our development team based in London!

The company provides financial analysis to some of the world's largest financial institutions and hedge funds - covering foreign exchange, equities, commodities, fixed income markets and more.

What we build…

A client-facing platform that distributes financial analysis through our website (continuumeconomics.com built with Laravel+Vue.js), Email (SendGrid, Pardot), REST APIs, and content feeds to various partners. Internal tools including custom CMS (Laravel+Vue.js), subscription management tools & more.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as a key member of the product development team
  • Building products following agile values and principles & iterative development practices
  • Working across the full product lifecycle, from idea creation & design through to deployment and beyond, comfortable working with designers, project managers, and other business stakeholders
  • Identifying improvements to the development and delivery processes
  • Further developing our internal tooling: CMS, Analytics, Salesforce, Mobile App

Required skills and experience
  • Proven person of action & delivery focus
  • Results oriented
  • 3+ years of web development experience using PHP
  • Strong OO design patterns and understanding of MVC
  • Excellent working knowledge of modern PHP 7.x development
  • Experience working with Laravel, ORM (Eloquent), migrations, databases such as MySQL & PostgreSQL, Vue js
  • Comfortable working with Html / Scss

Business Development Manager, London Working US, EST hours


Salary: £35-45k + depending on experience + competitive commission scheme

We are an independent financial markets and macro strategy research provider with offices in London, New York, and Singapore. Financial institutions from buy and sell-side subscribe to its research services, which span tactical market analysis through to long-term thematic thinking and systematic analytical models.

We are looking for a detail orientated, professional, and personable Account Development Manager, with a minimum of 3yrs+ experience of servicing financial markets clients, ideally gained in a similar role with an Economic Research Provider, or a leading market data vendor.

Managing America’s Region: Although the role is based in London, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing client revenues across the America’s – including North America, Canada, and South America, working US EST business hours to ensure clients derive value from their subscription to Continuum Economics research services.

Key Requirements

  • A graduate with a minimum of 3yrs+ account management experience preferably gained with an Economic Research Provider, or market data vendor.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and various participants across the buy and sell-side.
  • Experience using SalesForce CRM
  • Ability to manage accounts at multi-levels: Senior Management, Users, Market Data, Legal and Procurement.
  • Team player, willing to learn and share knowledge.
  • Ability to speak Spanish would be an advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage an existing book of business in the Americas, with regular client review to ensure high revenue retention, and identify and manage up-sell opportunities
  • Quickly become proficient in our products, and understand what’s valued by each client segment, and be able to present and propose suitable solutions to clients.
  • Work with senior analysts to bring them into your key accounts to improve client retention
  • Update CRM with changes in your accounts, and provide transparency of activity and forecasts
  • Initiate regular customer account reviews to go through usage stats, and improve retention rates
  • Manage and respond quickly and efficiently to customer support requests
  • Track and monitor usage of existing accounts to identify at-risk and growth opportunity accounts

Skills and Experience

  • Commercially orientated
  • Ability to think strategically about accounts, and understand customer’s needs
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior-level customers and sales colleagues, productively and professionally
  • Be able to present Continuum Economics service to a high level
  • Knowledge of financial desktops and entitlement systems such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg or similar
  • Degree educated
  • Familiarity with SalesForce CRM
