Account Development Manager (London based)

Location: South Kensington, SW7 4JJ
Salary: £35-£45k (subject to experience) + competitive commission scheme

Continuum Economics is a leading independent macroeconomic, policy, and financial markets research firm, with a worldwide client base of Banks, Asset Managers, Corporations, Central Banks, and Government organizations.


We are looking for a detail orientated, professional, and personable Account Development Manager, with a minimum of 3yrs+ experience in servicing financial markets clients, ideally gained in a similar role with an Economic Research Provider, or a leading market data vendor.

Managing Americas Region: Whilst the role is based in London, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing client revenues across the Americas region – including North and South America and Canada, and will be working US EST business hours to ensure clients derive value from their subscription to Continuum Economics research services.

Key Requirements

  • A graduate with a minimum of 3yrs+ account management experience preferably gained with an Economic Research Provider, or market data vendor.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and various participants across buy and sell-side.
  • Experience using SalesForce CRM
  • Ability to manage accounts at multi-levels: Senior Management, Users, Market Data, Legal, and Procurement.
  • Team player, willing to learn and share knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide regular training sessions to existing customers of Continuum Economics
  • Pro-actively contact clients and respond to customer queries and requests in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with account managers on training programs
  • Support the sales team to research, identify and up-sell opportunities across the client base
  • Track and monitor usage of existing accounts to identify at-risk and growth opportunity accounts
  • Provide usage data and reports to help with account reviews and renewals
  • Update SalesForce CRM system in a timely manner
  • Produce relevant metrics around customer engagement and Customer Success KPIs
  • Be able to present Continuum Economics service to a high level

Skills and Experience

  • Strong conversational and presentation skills
  • Ability to listen and understand the customer's needs
  • Communicate effectively with senior-level customers and sales colleagues, productively and professionally
  • Knowledge of desktops such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg systems or other similar an advantage
  • Degree educated
  • Familiarity with CRM – SalesForce
