We are looking for a detail orientated, professional and personable Customer Support Executive with 2yrs+ experience of supporting financial markets clients, ideally gained in a similar role with an Economic Research Provider, or a leading market data vendor. You will be responsible for training new and existing through combination of phone, Webex and on-site client visits, and maintain user and account records in SalesForce CRM system.

Key Requirements

  • A graduate with a minimum of 2yrs+ of professional experience, preferably in a Customer Support role
  • Experience of supporting professional users of Investments and/or Trading Services
  • Ideally have experience gained at another independent research provider
  • Experience of using SalesForce CRM and familiarity with permissioning and entitlement systems

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide regular training sessions to existing users of Continuum Economics
  • Pro-actively contact clients and respond to customer queries and requests in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with account managers on training programs
  • Support the sales team to research, identify and up-sell opportunities across the client base
  • Track and monitor usage of existing accounts to identify at risk and growth opportunity accounts
  • Provide usage data and reports to help with account reviews and renewals
  • Update SalesForce CRM system in timely manner
  • Produce relevant metrics around customer engagement and Customer Success KPIs
  • Be able to present Continuum Economics service to a high level

Skills and Experience

  • Strong conversational and presentation skills
  • Ability to listen and understand the customer's needs
  • Communicate effectively with senior level customers and sales colleagues, productively and professionally
  • Knowledge of desktops such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg or other similar an advantage
  • Degree educated
  • Familiarity with CRM – SalesForce

Emerging Markets Economist

Location: London

Job type: Permanent and full-time

Salary: £20-25k

The Emerging Europe Economics team in London is responsible for covering Turkey, South Africa, Russia, Poland, Hungary and the Czech republic. This role will have a primary focus on producing thematic research on two countries as part of our EM Europe team. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic background and preferable experience writing insightful research on the region. 

Key responsibilities

  • Author in-depth, original and insightful macroeconomic, political, policy and market research on Emerging Europe. You will cover two countries in the region. 
  • Responsible for producing quarterly outlooks, forecasts, country updates and monetary policy 
  • Contribute to our global research agenda
  • Regular interaction with clients

Key skills and attributes

  • Zero to 1 year experience in an economic research role that has involved forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Experience in using key research tools, e.g. E Views is a plus.
  • Economics degree, with a Masters highly desirable
