Francesca is currently Lead Economist, Emerging Europe Research at Continuum Economics. After completing her PhD at Cambridge University, she started her career as a Lecturer at the London School of Economics. She then became a macroeconomist covering FX and fixed income in emerging markets (Africa, Latin America and Emerging Europe) and developed markets (Eurozone and the United Kingdom). She worked for a variety of macro research firms, namely 4CAST, Fitch Solutions and BCA Research. She is the author of two books, ‘Third World Multinationals: Engine of Competitiveness or New Form of Dependency? and ‘Globalisation and the BRICs: Why The BRICs Will Not Rule The World For Long’.
